Wisdoms' White Fire

Here we are…..it's 1AM and the wind is bringing cool air to the Midwest.  We have been graced with very warm (way above average) temps and a lot of humidity, and are now moving into cool (below average temps) with sunshine and dry air.  All growing things are loving this unusual Spring……greens are vivid and flowers are lush.


Last week was a busy one!   I was back into the recording studio and new music has arrived. This new music is called Wisdoms' White Fire and is free to you.  You can request an mp3 file from me at any time by e-mailing me and requesting it.


What is Wisdoms' White Fire?   Retta and I were walking in Fox Island and passed a beautiful white flowering pear tree.  It was glowing and the petals that were falling also glowed in the air, and on the ground.   The music comes from my experience of the glowing fire that is the life within the flowering pear tree.  As always,  I did not hear the music in advance of going into the recording studio, but it emerged as I lay down the musical tracks.  It is beautiful music….carrying the energy of the fire of the flowering pear tree.  Wisdom is at the core of all life…thus the title of this piece.


For the total experience of the flowering pear tree and of the music, Tom Tempel and I have created a video that is on You Tube.  I took many photographs of the tree and the petals and Tom has blended all into the experience of the white fire within the life force of the tree.  Here is the You Tube link!

Music supports the world around me

Several weeks ago I received a phone call from a hospice nurse in Honolulu. She had a patient who was dying and listening to The Beloved was the only thing that could calm her down. She later called to say that this person had died peacefully while listening to The Beloved. That is why I do what I do. Creating and performing the music that comes to me is not done to sell music and make sales, but to bring into the world a quality of beauty and connection into the individual's inner world that is transformative. The ducks in this photo were hatched right outside of my mom's front window. The mother duck came out of the marshes to build her nest where mom could see it every day. Aren't they cute! It's amazing the beauty and the joy in nature. My mom is going through an important journey in her life right now, and family is very supportive of her in this time of transition. The Journey

This photo was taken in a nature preserve in Indiana and it is now covered in snow. We are under a winter storm warning...expecting another "many" inches of snow and it is beautiful. I loved this path because it reminds me of Copan, Honduras. I chose this photo for today's Musings because it calls forth the journey into the unknown which is my life and yours. The economic news yesterday was very bleak.. a couple of million people without work and without health insurance. Many millions more without enough work to actually buy enough food and to pay for the basics of life. The stock market falling....companies closing or downsizing. The political news was bleak....war.....terror....poverty across the world. And yet.....the unknown journey continues. We don't know really what this means.
