New album is completely recorded

As of yesterday afternoon, Wisdom Enters The World In Love is now completely recorded. Next week Susan Stamm will do the graphic design for the back tray, the disc label, and the inside front cover. Then the artwork and the music master goes over to National Media Services for duplication and packaging. My deepest gratitude to Tom Tempel for recording and mastering, to Susan for graphic design, and to National Media Services for their always great service. Thank you also to those of you who have pre-ordered, and those who have supported this new album with your words or e-mails.

RETTA'S STORY WITH THE COPAN DRUM. This is my Copan drum....the drum for first track on Wisdom Enters The World In Love that is called Wisdom Cave. After completing this recording, I brought the Copan drum back to my studio, and within a few days our beloved Rhodesian Ridgeback dog, Retta, discovered it and chewed a hole in the drumhead. So this drum which has played through so many of my albums....will never sound again in that form. The spirit of this drum is very strong and will continue to support my music. The Copan drum will certainly come back in a new form and new sound. So, that what initially felt like a disaster is a powerful gift from Retta to me. She is helping me bring in the new.

A Celebration of Life and Love is now available on CDBaby and also on i-tunes and the many other digital sites that carry my music.

Two weeks ago I recorded the final 10 minutes of the Wisdom Ablaze album, received the digital CD for the artwork of the cover (Ann Beeching original) and the music master is ready to go to National Media. Music supports the world around me

Several weeks ago I received a phone call from a hospice nurse in Honolulu. She had a patient who was dying and listening to The Beloved was the only thing that could calm her down. She later called to say that this person had died peacefully while listening to The Beloved. That is why I do what I do. Creating and performing the music that comes to me is not done to sell music and make sales, but to bring into the world a quality of beauty and connection into the individual's inner world that is transformative. The ducks in this photo were hatched right outside of my mom's front window. The mother duck came out of the marshes to build her nest where mom could see it every day. Aren't they cute! It's amazing the beauty and the joy in nature. My mom is going through an important journey in her life right now, and family is very supportive of her in this time of transition. The Journey

This photo was taken in a nature preserve in Indiana and it is now covered in snow. We are under a winter storm warning...expecting another "many" inches of snow and it is beautiful. I loved this path because it reminds me of Copan, Honduras. I chose this photo for today's Musings because it calls forth the journey into the unknown which is my life and yours. The economic news yesterday was very bleak.. a couple of million people without work and without health insurance. Many millions more without enough work to actually buy enough food and to pay for the basics of life. The stock market falling....companies closing or downsizing. The political news was bleak....war.....terror....poverty across the world. And yet.....the unknown journey continues. We don't know really what this means.
