The very first posting for this new website

I'm so excited! This website allows me to share photos with you, and a slideshow. Thank you blogspot for welcoming me on board!

This month of June is really an appropriate time to be creating from a new blog site. In 2007 I completed a 20 year cycle of creating, recording and publishing my original music from my business which is Mayan Dream Production, Int'l. Now, in 2008 I am starting a new 20 year cycle. How cool is that!

I am so privileged that I am a musician for this lifetime. It is more fun than you can imagine to actually have my life's work involve recording music, composing music, playing music, writing about music, talking to people all over the country, walking in nature to be soaking up the inspiration for my music...the list goes on. Even the business aspect is really supportive to me.

My music is spiritual in it's essence (as is almost all music, actually!). It has it's source in what the Maya call The Heart of Everything. Music flows out of me with very little effort and expresses in original music that speaks of joy and love and the heart and life on the planet Earth. I have an incredibly good time in the recording studio playing my Kurzweil keyboard, my various drums, rainstick, bells and chimes and claves and maracas and shakers, and playing the various flutes that I have brought back from Mexico and Central America. My recording studio is Tempel Recording Studio and Tom Tempel is awesome as sound engineer, recording engineer, the person who records also many of nature sounds, and who masters all of my music.

Life in the Beverly musician world is moving and shaking. Stay tuned (Sorry, really bad pun!).

In the Natural Timing of Things

Hi everyone..... Two weeks ago I recorded the final 10 minutes of the Wisdom Ablaze album, received the digital CD for the artwork of the cover (Ann Beeching original) and the music master is ready to go to National Media. It is part of a three CD series on Wisdom. The Wisdom music began with the album " A Celebration of Life and Love " which was released in 2012.  The third track is called Wisdom, and this album explores the various aspects of living in the warmth of Wisdom Fire:  Dancing in Lightness of Spirit, Sacred Voice, Woven in Gentleness, and A Gentle Touch.  Track three, Wisdom, emerges from Track one: At The Cave, and Track two:  Sunrise. Music supports the world around me

Several weeks ago I received a phone call from a hospice nurse in Honolulu. She had a patient who was dying and listening to The Beloved was the only thing that could calm her down. She later called to say that this person had died peacefully while listening to The Beloved. That is why I do what I do. Creating and performing the music that comes to me is not done to sell music and make sales, but to bring into the world a quality of beauty and connection into the individual's inner world that is transformative. The ducks in this photo were hatched right outside of my mom's front window. The mother duck came out of the marshes to build her nest where mom could see it every day. Aren't they cute! It's amazing the beauty and the joy in nature. My mom is going through an important journey in her life right now, and family is very supportive of her in this time of transition. The Journey

This photo was taken in a nature preserve in Indiana and it is now covered in snow. We are under a winter storm warning...expecting another "many" inches of snow and it is beautiful. I loved this path because it reminds me of Copan, Honduras. I chose this photo for today's Musings because it calls forth the journey into the unknown which is my life and yours. The economic news yesterday was very bleak.. a couple of million people without work and without health insurance. Many millions more without enough work to actually buy enough food and to pay for the basics of life. The stock market falling....companies closing or downsizing. The political news was bleak....war.....terror....poverty across the world. And yet.....the unknown journey continues. We don't know really what this means.
