 We are at the end of the year 2020 and moving quickly to the winter solstice and the return of Light. My birthday is on the winter solstice, and I will complete my 74th year in this world on that day, and begin my walk through my 75th year.  This last year has been a truly transformative year for our world, as the pandemic altered all of our lives dramatically and completely.  As with all of you,  this year has also been transformative for me.  I have been forced to change old habit patterns because they no longer work in these new times of the pandemic.  I have moved into a space that is focused more inwardly and this means that my inner world has expanded and all of my life is more connected. The Return of Light...the celebration of Christmas and Hanakkah and Kwanza...all are beacons of fiery hope in this time when maybe we are walking into the unknown and don't know what lies ahead.  We trust in Christ the Light....in the light of the menora....and...

I sit here on a very cold February evening, with my cup of hot coffee next to me and my heater keeping my feet warm. We are all beings of light and our unique light weaves the world into the vibration of wisdom and of the heart.   This is always happening when we are in the support of our light, and connected fully into our hearts and into wisdom.  I love the connection with all of your lights as we connect through my music and my writing. Mayan Dream Productions is celebrating a New Year and now 32 years in existence.  We began this journey in 1987 when I first began to compose the album Mayan Dream, followed by The Beloved. This was a very exciting time because until 1987 I had no idea that I was going to compose music.  I fell in love with the recording studio, my Kurzweil, and the music inspired by the Mayan sacred culture of ancient times, and of the music of healing and transformation. Now in 2019,  Wisdom Ablaze is two years old and it completes a cycle of 16 albums.  All of my music is music of light and of light alive in the world.  I have loved creating every note of this music! Where is the next cycle of 10 years leading me and Mayan Dream Productions?   I am  certainly continuing the love of recording and the action of fire in the world. As we celebrate the Winter Solstice and the new year 2019,   I wish all of you light and joy!

As the days grown darker and shorter, we celebrated the super moon a few days ago with its brilliant light.   In just a few weeks the solstice will emerge and the return of light.  Light is always behind the darkness. This snowy pathway is very near my house. As Retta and I walk it, it becomes a journey into the unknown in the winter.   The white covers everything that we would normally see, and our steps can become treacherous. It is a beautiful time of year and I especially treasure those brief encounters with deer and fox and wild turkey when we are walking in the evening. May your pathways always lead you into the power of the unknown.  May your days be peaceful and full of light.  May beauty be in every moment of your life. In 1987 I traveled for the first time into the Mayan lands of Mexico and Central America.  Little did I know that this trip would change my musical life profoundly.  My experience with the sacred lands of the Maya ignited original music in me that over the last 30 years has resulted in 16 published CDs, 2 albums that are only available for download and 40+ original albums composed for individuals. My experiences also led to my business of Mayan Dream Productions and 28 years of relationship with all of you who read Musings, or listen to my music.  I treasure these relationships.  They have enriched my life enormously. Technology is moving more quickly than I can keep up with!  It is the ever-changing language of music distribution.  When I receive a monthly statement of deposit for online sales now, it is mostly for streaming my music.  There is always some downloading of albums or tracks of albums, but downloading CDs and tracks of CDs is becoming a thing of the past. We will be taking the links down from our website that directly linked you, the customer, to i-tunes to download my albums and tracks from my albums.  I-tunes will no longer allow links from websites.  They are focused on streaming and want everyone to change from downloading to streaming.  Very interesting! Meanwhile, my customers have to go directly to i-tunes and search for my name.  Everything is there but it is harder for you to get to me to download from i-tunes. There are over 50 other digital sites that hold my music.  Some of the most popular that are attracting people to my music...

It's been almost three months since I have written to you, the reader, in this Musings.  That doesn't mean that you are not always in my awareness as I live my daily life.  Wisdom is at your core as light and it shines out and joins my core of light Wisdom.  We are one. The month of December was a transforming time of body, mind and spirit for me.  The Winter Solstice is my birthday, and this year it was my 70th birthday.  It was also the integration time of the new Wisdom Ablaze album in my body, mind and spirit; and also a month of a large concert with about 100 people involved as musicians and a beautiful and inspired audience of about 400.  All of this together brought me into a newness of life.   How cool is that!! This new wisdom body, mind and spirit is still growing with me.  My outer activities have had to change as my inner world changed.  Many things are simplifying so that I can become larger. I love Autumn in Indiana.   We have the most beautiful colors and the crisp air of the first frost to revel in! I took the photo on your right as I looked down from the top of a dune in Fox Island onto Retta in the dappled sunlight.  Notice the pink rays of the sun.  Hmmm...isn't that amazing! The second photo was captured as I looked up into the trees in the late afternoon as the sun was illuminating the golden leaves.  They were brilliant in the sunshine. Looking down....looking up....seeing wisdom manifesting in profound beauty in ways that I often do not see.  I can be focused only on the things that are right in front of me....not seeing the larger picture.  Can anyone else relate to that?? It's such a beautiful morning in Fort Wayne.  The full moon is shining in a soft warm air...while a few clouds are blown across the moonlit sky.  The leaves on the silver maple are just starting to turn and in the moonlight, some are glowing red...all are glowing silver on their undersides. It's mid-October and we are expecting 83 degrees for the high today.  Because of the warm Autumn, all of our flowers are still in full bloom, and also glowing in the moonlight. As usual, I have my trusty cup of coffee at hand as I write Musings this morning.  Retta is keeping me company on the nearby couch.....soundly sleeping in doggy contentment. Hello everyone…..I now have republished a Facebook page for Mayan Dream Productions and my new Wisdom Ablaze album.  My Facebook name is mayandream.16. Yesterday I approved the physical proof of Wisdom Ablaze, and so it is now in production and will be here next week….estimated date October 12.  Hooray!

Hi everyone..... Two weeks ago I recorded the final 10 minutes of the Wisdom Ablaze album, received the digital CD for the artwork of the cover (Ann Beeching original) and the music master is ready to go to National Media. It is part of a three CD series on Wisdom. The Wisdom music began with the album " A Celebration of Life and Love " which was released in 2012.  The third track is called Wisdom, and this album explores the various aspects of living in the warmth of Wisdom Fire:  Dancing in Lightness of Spirit, Sacred Voice, Woven in Gentleness, and A Gentle Touch.  Track three, Wisdom, emerges from Track one: At The Cave, and Track two:  Sunrise. A year later, I completed Wisdom Enters The World In Love . This powerful music again brings the place of the Wisdom Cave (Track one), the Wisdom Mountain (track two)….both sacred places of birth…..then we have the aspects of Wisdom:  (track four) Wisdom Dances the Waters, (track five)Her Gentle Voice, (track ...

We are in the midst of very chaotic times.  Events of today remind me of the years of the 60s and 70s. History is repeating itself.  If you are old enough, you remember with me the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Robert Kennedy; the Kent State riots and subsequent killing of Kent State students; and the Vietnam War.  Planes were hijacked.  We were also under the constant threat of nuclear war…and felt always that it could happen.   Today we have terrorist bombings and killing of innocents of all races and religions. In the midst of chaos, I am reminded by my own music to choose to listen to the voice of Wisdom. Wisdom (God) has formed all physical life on this planet, and that spiritual reality is always there no matter what I may perceive as five-sensory reality. When I feel powerless to do anything about the violence and hatred that is being expressed in our time, I am reminded by my own music that the vibration of Wisdom and Love ...

Monday I completed the Wisdom Ablaze album music.  I have totally fallen in love with this music! Before, however, I can release it to all of you, I need to listen and feel it myself for a few weeks. The description is not available to me yet, and I know that I will be writing a leaflet to accompany the CD. There is a wonderful story of this album's music, and also the album "Wisdom Enters The World In Love" music which was released in 2013.  Together, these two albums form a two-part symphony. The new album Wisdom Ablaze is now almost complete. All six tracks are "out in the world" now and just awaiting the final levels and depth of potential that will happen over the next weeks. Wisdom Ablaze has been within me for about a year.  It is like being pregnant and experiencing the joy and the unknown of having a life within that is growing….and then finally giving birth.  It changes the mother profoundly, and this music changed me profoundly. One of the joyful things about creating this music was the playing of the Mayan flutes in our time and in this place.  They were full of life and sing throughout this album. Nature plays a large role also in this album.  My own recordings of bird song from the Mayan lands of Central America are on track four.  Tom Tempel has recorded water, wind, frogs, ducks and they are all present here in this music also. I sit here in my office of Mayan Dream Productions with a hot cup of coffee and my new music of Wisdom Ablaze playing.  I was musing today on the almost 30 years since Mayan Dream Productions was ignited as a fire within me.  Amazing! We continue this joyful journey with deep thanks for all who have been a part for these many years. Some of you since 1987, and some new....experiencing The Beloved, or The Journey of Joy for the first time. The first three tracks of Wisdom Ablaze are complete.  I expect to record the next three tracks within this month of May.  Ann Beeching has the artwork for the cover almost complete and it is awesome! HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016!  It is early in the morning on January 7th and I write this morning with deep appreciation for the gifts of the year 2015 that is complete.  Now we are walking into the light of 2016 (already one week into the year!) and it feels like this year will be highly creative. The new album, Wisdom Ablaze ,  will be coming sometime in this Spring.  Ann Beeching is doing the art for the cover of this new album.  She and I have met many times to let this painting emerge, and here is her description of the painting as it is developing:   " I have a full figure in relationship with the light of the Milky Way coming from behind,  within and out of  the pyramid of the Moon.  It will have color and light.  It also has the spiral symbol from the tunnels in Copan at the corners."
