Still Working on MySpace

Here is another beautiful portal for you today.
It's beautiful and in the lower 70s here in Fort Wayne and when I walk in the trees I feel such a gratitude for the beauty around me. The nature beauty always takes from my mind and into the flow of the Heart of Everything.

Today I went to create the musician's MySpace and discovered that, even though the book (MySpace for Dummies) says you can have a musician's account and a personal account on MySpace, that is really not true. You have to have separate e-mails for two accounts.

So...I have canceled my personal MySpace account with all of you good friends on it, and have to allow 48 hours to pass and then I can set up a Musicians MySpace account. Sigh!!

The personal account wasn't impressing me at all anyway. It is just full of advertisements for the strangest things! I know that musicians, and especially rock bands, were one of main driving forces for MySpace. However, the personal website was just not feeling right for my own kind of music. The Mayan Dream website...which you are now reading...feels so much better. However, the people who are supposed to know these things say that it is important to be on MySpace because there are millions of people just waiting to hear my music in that venue. So.....we'll try it again in 48 hours and this time on the musicians sight. Then, I'll provide the new link on this blog.

Meanwhile......as always, Mondays are days of taking care of the business side of the business.

Music supports the world around me

Several weeks ago I received a phone call from a hospice nurse in Honolulu. She had a patient who was dying and listening to The Beloved was the only thing that could calm her down. She later called to say that this person had died peacefully while listening to The Beloved. That is why I do what I do. Creating and performing the music that comes to me is not done to sell music and make sales, but to bring into the world a quality of beauty and connection into the individual's inner world that is transformative. The ducks in this photo were hatched right outside of my mom's front window. The mother duck came out of the marshes to build her nest where mom could see it every day. Aren't they cute! It's amazing the beauty and the joy in nature. My mom is going through an important journey in her life right now, and family is very supportive of her in this time of transition. The Journey

This photo was taken in a nature preserve in Indiana and it is now covered in snow. We are under a winter storm warning...expecting another "many" inches of snow and it is beautiful. I loved this path because it reminds me of Copan, Honduras. I chose this photo for today's Musings because it calls forth the journey into the unknown which is my life and yours. The economic news yesterday was very bleak.. a couple of million people without work and without health insurance. Many millions more without enough work to actually buy enough food and to pay for the basics of life. The stock market falling....companies closing or downsizing. The political news was bleak....war.....terror....poverty across the world. And yet.....the unknown journey continues. We don't know really what this means.
