Unless you live in Southern California, or very South Florida, you are experiencing the Polar Vortex that is bringing a very early winter to the USA. As I sit here writing to you, my hot cup of coffee in hand, the air outside is crisp and frigid. Our first accumulating snow is expected this Sunday. I am listening to Deep Snowy Night and appreciating again the beauty of this music. For some reason, I felt that this album was sort of "second best" because it is my arrangement of Christmas carols and not my own original music. But it is awesome! Gentle…wisdom…bringing the heart from composers of all ages into our time again. After all, Christmas is one manifestation of our annual celebration of the heart wisdom emerging from the center of all things. This web of love connects all of us to each other and to those who have gone before us. This web of love connects us to the unseen world and to our planet Earth. It's amazing that I was preparing last week for the holiday season already. How can that be! But…..the holiday catalog is done…and everything is ready to mail on October 15th. WOW! That was a lot of work at weird hours (like the middle of the night often). For me, marketing is another powerful way to connect to all of you and to keep the relationship going that we have formed over the last 25+ years. Meanwhile, Deep Snowy Night is being sent to National Media Services for duplication. The artwork has been commissioned to Ann Beeching for a new CD called Wisdom Ablaze that will be recorded in the Spring and released in late Spring/early Summer. It's windy and very cold here this morning. October has come in with phenomenal color and like a lion…roaring. Love to all!

This beautiful photo of the Lake at Fox Island in Fort Wayne reminds me of the power of love that weaves such beauty in to our Mother Earth. Love binds all things. We hear this phrase often in weddings and have the witness of two people who are indeed bound together in this weaving of love. That same weaving emerges through all of life from the core of love….LOVE MANIFESTING….through the physical form that is vibrated into the various nature forms, including human beings. We are light! We radiate love through our physical bodies. We express love as we speak, create, walk, help…. What an awesome world we live in with love as the binding force and creator.

It's been 6 weeks since I posted a blog on Musings. WOW! All I can say, is that July and early August were lazy months for writing on this blog. I had the joy of the July annual sale and reconnection with some of you through this sale. A "snail mail" Musings went out to my mailing list in early July. That paper mailing of Musings hasn't happened for many years. However, it just felt right this summer. As always, July is inventory month also. I had time for rest and fun these last six weeks. Now, I plan to continue rest and fun and keep Mayan Dream Productions dancing! Love and joy to all of you.

I sit in my office, writing to all of you, and feeling the intense colors of this cool summer. The flowers outside my office window, and the greens of leaves are spectacular. A cardinal family has made it's nest in this beauty also. The sky is clear blue and the air is crisp and cool. The vibration of wisdom has created this manifestation of GAIA. Over the years of composing and recording music, my question to the Wisdom core from which my music comes has always been: "How do I describe in sound the essence of the beauty around me." And Wisdom always replies: "Open to the vibration and the feeling...don't think about it....let it change you into the person who is this vibration.... then begin to make music." From this space has emerged an instrumental sound, combined with sounds of nature, which opens the possibilities of emergence and healing and creativity to myself and to those who experience my music. In this sense, I am a healer who creates...

It's a beautiful summer morning (even though technically the summer solstice is two weeks away). This is the Mother Earth that has inspired so much of my music. Retta and I will be kicking back today and spending most of the day outside....walking, trimming, weeding, planting. As I sit in my office writing to all of you, I am surrounded by my music and my musical instruments. They are calling to me.....and I am hearing their voice loud and clear. Life is good! Love to all.
